What format are psp movies?

mp4 doesnt play for some reason it wont show up on the video menu do i need to change the folder name its currently VIDEO i downloaded loads of videos in lots of differant formats and none work

any suggestions?

ok what you need to do here is, plug in your psp, go to my computer, find your mp4 file, copy it, go to your psp (it should be marked with "removable disk:H" or any other letter), go to MP_ROOT, and put it in the folder 101ANV01, once it's finished unplug your psp and it should be in the video menu on your psp :)

They should be in MP4 but there are a lot of different MP4 variations that will not work with the PSP. Try getting some from http://www.pspube.com

For your PSP you need to use video files in .mp4 format.  

Most likely you did not put the files in the correct folder to view them on your psp.  when you connect your psp to your computer through usb, you will need to navigate to the folder called video - it will not be at the top.
