  1. Depends on the DVD player.

Mine will show Avis and VCD and SVCD, but not MPG or MOV obviously.

Don't know what you want here.

  2. I think they use AVI ?, But try downloading this - 'Convertxtodvd' - its the programme i use. It converts all your downloaded files to DVD playable ones

  3. Recomedation use a more friendly and widely use software that convert to mpeg  like Convertxtodvd, and what format need to be to play in a dvd beside mpeg universal for all dvd players thats depend on the dvd player brand model because some newer models can play divx !

  4. Ideally it needs to be MPG, but it also needs to be layed out properly on the disc, the way I make dvd's is using a series of software...I start with VirtualDub to split the audio and video, I then use TMPGEnc to stick them back together again encoding it in MPEG-2 720x576 25fps CBR 3000kbps,  Layer-2 48000Hz 192kbps - its' then used in DVD Lab which is used to make the menu and compiles all the data to be used in a dvd player - a very long and painful process but worth it for the delicous creamy centre - for any additional help feel free to email me.
