What format do lyrics have to be in to show up on itunes?

I want to make the lyrics show up on the screen of my ipod what format does it have to be in to show up while the song is playing

Anything just copy them (Right click copy)

Then right click on the song and press Get Info then go to the lyrics tab

Then Right Click Paste

Then sync your ipod

Play the song that you've added the lyrics to

Then keep pressing the middle button until you come to the lyrics.
