It doesn't have to be because they are doing good elsewhere. It could be someone that was just fun to watch or someone that was a fan favorite.

As a White Sox fan for me it's Aaron Rowand and Jon Garland

  1. I got 3 of them. Reggie Jackson. Thurman Munson & Don Mattingly.

  2. Jason Bay and X Nady

  3. Orioles: I miss Cal Ripken Jr.  I know he's retired and a Hall of Famer and all that, but I still miss him.

Rangers: I miss Mark DeRosa.  I don't even know why I liked him so much, he was just one of my favorites.

  4. Ken Griffey, Jr.

  5. I'm a Chicago Cubs fan and because we are having such a GREAT 2008 (so far, as I'm remaining cautious when I say that), I really don't miss anyone.

One of my all time favorites, but he's too old to play baseball anymore was Mark Grace (1st base).  I also enjoyed watching Andre Dawson.

I was only 14 when I first got into the Cubs and that was the 1984 season, where they almost made it to the World Series, but got beat out by the San Diego Padres (ahhh, Steve Garvey damm him !!).

I enjoyed 2003 and was soo heart-broken, I just want to put an end to the Loveable Loser slogan and "Wait Till Next Year" and just make this the CUBS YEAR !!

GO CUBS GO !!!  Let's do it.  SHOCK THE WORLD !!

  6. Brewers

    Carlos Lee

  7. Andruw Jones for the Atlanta Braves as long as he hits well. The defense and amazing plays will always be there but his bat would need to more productive

  8. Texas Rangers, Alfonso Soriano

  9. I am a Sox fan and really miss Carlos Lee

The dumb @$$ GM said they needed more speed on the team, WHO NEEDS SPEED WHEN YOU GOT SOMEONE HITTING OVER .300 WITH 35 HOMERUNS!!!

I also miss Maglio Ordoniez, but I like Jermaine Dye more so I guess he would fit in.

  10. Felipe Lopez

  11. Orioles fan....so of course I miss the great Cal Ripken Jr.

I miss Brady Anderson too, always like that guy, BJ Surhoff too.  Wish we coulda kept Mussina way back when as well.

  12. Well Soriano from a Yankee fan's perspective.

  13. as a yankee fan i miss Paul O Neil , Mattingly, and Bernie Williams

  14. gary sheffield (when he was with the yanks) alfonso sorianio and bernie williams

    Yanks fan

  15. I'm a Mets fan, and I wish we still had Scott Kazmir and Xavier Nady.

  16. Almost all of the Mariners from their all-too-brief golden era.

Griffey, A-Rod, Randy Johnson, Edgar Martinez, Dan Wilson...

But the guy I loved and miss the most, the heart of those great teams, is Jay Buhner. The passion and emotion, the second ugliest dome in Seattle, the monster shots and his often-overlooked defensive abilities were great. And Buhner buzz-cut nights are still one of the all-time great promotions.

  17. Well, as an A's fan I have plenty to choose from. Most of them I was happy to see go, like Hudson, Mulder and Zito. Hudson is a post-season choker, Mulder was clearly not the same pitcher when Beane traded him, and Zito had just been mediocre for too long.

I would have to say I miss Miggy the most. Especially with Crosby hurt all the time, and just not that good when he's healthy.

  18. I miss the old Andruw Jones. Not the Andruw from this year who is overweight or the Andruw from last year that hit .220, but the potential 500 home run hall of famer who was considered by some to be the greatest defensive outfielder in major league history.I remember going to Turner Field when I was probably 7 or 8 and the Braves were playing the Red Sox and he made the most amazing catch,, he was playing shallow center and a fly ball was hit over his head and he just turned his back and ran and caught it with his back facing home while leaping into the wall, and he hung onto the wall like spiderman and then proceeded to double off the runner on second. Gosh what happened to this once great player?

  19. Dale Murphy and Bob Horner of the Braves

  20. aww man.NICK SWISHER.

    he's like no other.

    white sox fans are lucky.

  21. I miss a lot of former Cardinals (like Polanco, Edmonds, Renteria, and Rolen).

  22. Geoff Jenkins.

It looks different in the outfield for the Brewers without him, although Hart and Braun are filling in great.

  23. As an A's fan, mine is Nick Swisher and Rich Harden =]

    Great Question. Here's a star =]

  24. Eric Gagne.

I know, he's no good anymore.  But when he was in his prime in LA, he was awesome to watch.

  25. Eric Byrnes. The guy always had a smile and he ran everywhere. He was fun to watch on base and in the dugout. I miss him.

  26. DUDE NO WAYYYYY!!!!! im a sox fan too and i was gonna say jon garland!!!!! i also miss scotty pods! but yeah, garland was the s**z. we never should have traded him! not that i dont like cabrera, but garland was one-of-a-kind. :o)

  27. I am a Cardinals fan and my first choice would definitely be Dan Haren. Obviously the main reason for that would be because of his success elswhere. He would be a great addition to mix with Carpenter and Wainwright. Although, I don't think he would be near as good without the Oakland A's pitching development that he was lucky to encounter due to his trade from St. Louis. Other than that, I would have to say that Scott Rolen would be the next because he is just so solid at third base. We took him for granted in St. Louis, defensively, and now we can see just how amazing he was in the field. Great ball player all around in my opinion. Anyways, that would be mine!
