  1. Panama is bordered on the West by Costa Rica and on the East by Colombia.  

    Part of the border with Costa Rica is the River Sixaola, which flows out into the Caribbean. Panama and Costa Rica share two border crossings, one is the River Sixaola railway bridge.

    The border with Colombia is dense jungle in the province of Panama that is known as The Darien.  

    The Darien jungle is so dense that it has stopped the Pan American Highway, which is supposed to be one highway all the way from Alaska to the tip of South American.
