I have oily, red skin and obvious pours. I need a foundation that will hide the redness, especially on my nose and cheeks and not look blotchy. Any recommendations? I've tried all of the mineral makeups but they don't last. Thanks!

  1. Hi :)

You should be able to get a colour correction fluid. Its like concealer only its green. The green dumbs down the red. This should make it easier when you put foundation on. I use Studio Fix by M-A-C. The coverage is awesome!

Hope you find something that works!

  2. I have the same problem and I use bare minerals. I have to touch it up once in a while but that's why I carry a bare minerals compact. Maybe you should try using bare minerals with oil absorbing sheets and touch it up if you think it's fading. The oil absorbing sheets are key, they keep your makeup on while absorbing the oil. You can get clean & clear ones from the drug store or get $1 packs from eyeslipsface.com

  3. If you have really oily and red skins, with obvious pores, i wouldn't recommend you even put on foundation, it'll make your skin worse. Try using a face wash to open up the pores, get rid of the too oily skin and redness you have.

Try Biore Products for your pores, they really do help to open them up and they get rid of most of the oiliness.

  4. I have similar problems and I use everyday minerals. It's pretty affordable and with the right brush it gives great coverage. I recommend Alima's #25 brush. It's like velvet and doesnt scratch my skin and make it more red. I don't think it gives oily control though...so maybe you should try a pressed powder like MAC's blot
