  1. If you use liquid foundation, maybe you should give powder foundation a whirl. I don't use foundation, but when I do I use Max Factor and it's good. Try using a darker foundation since your face looks pale, just a degree darker or something. You should probably ask the shopkeeper at the drug store, they can help you if you tell them what your problem is.

  2. Hi,

You should try a mineral - based foundation.

Right now, the most popular ones out on the market are Bare Escentuals Bare Minerals and Everyday Minerals.

These foundations have a variety of colors that will guarantee the right color for your skintone.

If you have sensitive skin, I would recommend Everyday Minerals from my own personal experience, but, there are a lot of debates about these two mineral foundations.

Mineral foundations are very light-weight, and I read somewhere that Bare Minerals has some complaints of making the skin look shiny.

So, I would recommend the Everyday Minerals.

If not, please try a tinted moisturizer. These moisturizers give you lightweight coverage and blends right into your skin, almost invisible, to give you a slight glow.

    I hope this helped.

    Good luck!

  3. Everyday minerals - semi matte (free samples online)

  4. Annalise, make sure the product is water based.  Use the skin care that is for your skin type (normal/dry or oily).  Set your make up w/loose translucent (no color) powder and use for touch ups during the day.  I like the products at aularale.com/7002.  They're designed for people w/sensitive skin and have my skin in great shape; and the make up gives me a nice natural look.

  5. someone told me mabeline mineral powder works great!!!

  6. For a drug store solution:

    Covergirl TruBlend

    For better quality (higher price):

Mary Kay Medium coverage together with Mary Kay Sheer Mineral Pressed Powder

  7. You probably should test the foundation in the store before you buy it. Also be sure you arent using heavy cream foundations....those tend to make your skin oily and clog your pores (which will give you acne). Try a tinted moisturizer. Clinique and Trish McEvoy make the best ones. Also a tinted moisturizer doesnt have much color so if youre off on your shade it is not very dramatic. Good Luck :)

  8. Get Clinique Foundation!!  They have proffesionals working there and they can tell you what color and stuff to get!!  if you want to get a shade darker than what you should be!!  Thats what I do!!  You can get it at the mall!!

  9. Sheer Cover, Cover-Girl TruBlend, Mineral Powders

  10. ask ur salon beautician...may be the reason why it ends up all oily it's because it's not the right skin type  check this website out

  11. Alot of the foundations you buy at the drugstore are more yellow based, you might have more pink undertones and that would explain why the colors look to light on you.

I would try a mineral makeup. the colors don't have to be exact like liquid because mineral makeup blends better.

  12. Okay, your foundation is not the problem here :)

What you need to worry about is a primer, and setting the foundation.

A primer will make a barrier between your own skin's natural oils and the oil in the makeup. Primers generally make makeup stay a lot longer, too! My favorite face primer is by MAC but there are so many good primers out there you can look around your local mall to see what you can find.

Okay, to set your foundation to make it last all day (and not get all oily and gross) You need a blush brush and some loose powder. Just sweep the powder very lightly all over your face. And there you go! It will last all day and always stay perfect, guaranteed.

    Hope I helped!!!
