What framerate is the broadcast news shot at?

Is it shot at 24fps, 30 or 60i? I'm talking only about North America.

  1. video news is shot at 60i (for an effective frame rate of 29.94 fps). television uses interlaced fields, not frames.

    back in the days before camcorders, film shot by news reporters was always shot at 30 fps. in fact, any film shot for television (ie commercials, sitcoms, kinescopes etc) and not theatrcial release was also shot at 30 fps.

    only movies that are shot on actual film or video that will be printed to film is shot in 24 fps...... 60fps is slow motion.

  3. 30 with a hd lense and hd recorder.(basicly a hd camcorder)
