My friend has Windows 2000. AVG and Spyware Doctor won't work because he has Windows 2000 and not XP. Is there anything else out there that will work for him? I don't know what else to recommend.

  3. AVG is good, but I've had trouble with it missing some viruses.  I checked into a new program since the missed virus caused me to reformat.  Avast seems to be really good so far!

Be sure to only have *one* antivirus program installed at a time.  More than one can cause big issues.
