For example, I would like to see a chart of how Yahoo's stock performed from September 2003 - May 2005 vs September 2001 - May 2003.

  1. This is what I do.

    Go to Yahoo Finance.

Choose: Stocks from the Investing tab

Enter the stock symbol you want and click "Get Quotes"

The left side has under Charts:

    Interactive

    Basic Chart

    Basic Tech Analysis

Using these options will allow you to get a programmable range of time for your selected stock. Basic Tech Analysis will enable you to graph the more advanced features such as moving averages, trading volume, MACD, RSI, etc.

You can research these other features on google and get some info if you want.
