  1. You could try www.familysearch.org that's completely free,

or you could buy credits for www.ancestry.co.uk it's an excellent site.

  2. ancestry.com (ancestry.co.uk)

    familysearch.org

  3. http://www.familysearch.org (the IGI) is by far the best free site, although there are errors on it, so you must always check what you find with another source if you can.

There are 3 free sites which are part of a project called FreeUKGen.  It is an initiative to help make more high quality primary (or near-primary) records of relevance to UK genealogy conveniently available online for free.

    http://www.freecen.org.uk/   has census records

http://www.freebmd.org.uk/ has transcriptions of the civil registration index of births, marriages, and deaths in England Wales

http://freereg.rootsweb.com/   has baptism, marriage, and burial records, that have been transcribed from parish and non-conformist registers of the U.K.

They are works-in-progress, as the transcriptions are done by volunteers.

http://www.ukisearch.com/ also has U.K. & Ireland Genealogy Records Online.

Go to the following page for access to Partial FreeBMD Indexes & Images 1837-1983:

    http://www.ancestry.co.uk/search/rectype...

(You don't need a subscription  to use these indexes)

    Good Luck!
