Oh my god! I always think in the dark of night there is someone in my room coming towards me. It makes me shake.......I always have to drink a glass of wine when that happens.

That I have no children & I wonder what will happen to me when I am older (I'm 62 now) and am unable to care for myself.  I envision myself in a nursing home sitting in a wheelchair in a hallway all day with no visitors.........and growing a beard cause I will no longer be able to pluck those stray hairs which grow as you age.

But seriously, I'm afraid of demanding angry people that want something from me that I can't give. I'm afraid of being condemned, of being homeless, of being misunderstood. I'm scared that people will misuse their power to cause me misfortune and humiliation. I'm afraid of people laughing at me and silencing me and causing me to be helpless and defenseless politically and socially.

I'm scared of dying alone but more scared of living alone. I'm afraid of getting in trouble, going to jail, having to explain myself. I'm afraid that anything I do will make someone mad and will endanger me. I know it's irrational and I can only control myself (most of the time) but I'm afraid of people with poltical or social power because I'm afraid that they are going to take advantage of my honest nature.
