What frogs in Kansas or Western Missouri most closely resembles H. Avivoca?

I ask because I've seen 2 frogs in the last 2 weeks that have very similar, if not the same, characteristics of the bird voiced tree frogs.

And I'm puzzled, because the closest H. Avivoca gets to Kansas is the extreme southeast corner of Oklahoma.

I'm starting to wonder if there is an undocumented population here... But 2 sightings of an unidentified species is hardly solid evidence, so I figure there is just a similar species around. So can anyone name me one?

  1. The Grey Treefrog, H. versicolor, is very similar, but the concealed surfaces of the hind legs are washed with orange instead of yellowish green.  The bird voiced is a little smaller too, but they look a lot alike.  The grey treefrog is found throughout your area.
