Question:

What fruit should Gin and Tonic be served with?

The reason i ask is because i was corrected last night for doing something i have done for a long time.

  1. You don't serve it with fruit.

    According to the Mr. Boston drink book... GIN and TONIC:

    2 Oz. Old Mr. Boston dry gin

    Cube of ice

    Fill glass with quinine water and stir

    Use 12 ounce Tom Collins Glass

    There is NO  MENTION of any kind of fruits or vegetables being used.  However, I like just a twist of Lime or Lemon stuck on the rim of the glass when serving


  2. Usually it is served with a slice of lemon or lime however some people substitute the slice of fruit with the juice instead.
