  1. since there are no tropical fruits that grow in the ocean, tropical fish don't eat fruits. they eat algae or plankton or brine shrimp, etc.

  2. I would just stick with flakes and algae wafers.  Maybe you could give them a little diced romaine lettuce, but I'm not sure if they will eat it.  My bettas love romaine lettuce.   Just remember romaine, not iceberg.  Not sure why but every person I've talked to about that said that iceberg is a bad choice.  And only use vegetables as a supplement, like every week or two weeks.

  3. Catfish will occasionally eat zucchini, and cucumber. Platies will also sometimes eat cucumber. Your catfish will probably enjoy eating algae pellets. That's about it. You should use these to supplement their diets only, though. Their primary diet should consist of TetraMin high quality tropical fish flakes. Often tropical fish will eat brine shrimp, bloodworms, and blackworms, but the fish you listed usually don't. Good luck!

  4. I have platies and today I'm going to try cucumbers to see if they like them.  I heard they will.  My platies also like the algae wafers and  freeze dried blood worms.  Sorry I have not tried any fruits.
