corn, beans, peas,

carrots (cooked slightly in microwave. soft but crunchy)

yams (cooked the same as carrots)

broccoli, spinach(fresh), kale, mustard greens

bell peppers, potatoes (cooked or mashed)

Rice, Pastas, Grains

long grain rice, noodles, 12 bean soup (we just cook it up and then drain it)

bread (they like this, we just give them small pieces now and then)

Almost anything.  The only ones to avoid are rhubarb, avocado, iceburg lettuce, and the seeds/pits of fruit.  Also, don't overdo vitamin C (like citrus) in birds with iron storage tendencies.

Some of the best in terms of flavor and nutrition for birds are cantaloup, kiwi, peppers, kale, sprouts, cooked yams, grapes...

Other good foods for protein are hardboiled egg (mashed up with shell included), cooked pasta, and mealworms.

Well first of all, it depends on the type of bird you have.  But, there are some food that ALL birds can eat, such as steamed veggies or cold veggies, peanuts, and seeds.  Don't feed them too much seeds though because too many seeds can lead to obisitay.  They should NEVER be fed avacatos or pits from fruits, for they are toxic and can be fatal to birds.  You can buy certain foods for whatever kind of bird you have. i have a blue fonted amazon and buy food at like petsmart and places like that.  Also this has nothing to do with food, but never light candels, insentes, or put carpet cleaner around them.  The fumes can be deadly to birds.  Good luck with you bird!!!
