  1. White rice is good but brown rice is even better. Try whole grain bread, corn on the cob (or off), hard boiled eggs, leafy lettuce, broccoli, peas, the leaves off of celery,  lima beans and a cuttle bone or mineral block.

I've never been able to get mine to do fruit. My parrots like them though.

  3. There is not a certain number of fruits and veggies that your bird need to eat. They will learn to eat anything. It might take you putting it in there for a year before they try it. It helps if you will let them see you eat it sometimes. Green apples are eaten by my cockatiels. (60+ birds) They like corn, peas, all types of cooked beans. I make a bean mix that is called Amazon Bean Mix. All birds will eat it and it is great for them. Dried bread is good for them also. The problem that you need to watch out for is to not feed them too rich or the hens will start to lay eggs around the  floor and cage. Make sure if you feed the Green apples to not give them the apple seeds. In fact for cockatiels it is best to cut the whole core out. They like pasta that isn't completely cooked. They like scrambled egg also. (cooked in a microwave with no grease or salt. Pepper is OK, Red Peppers are even better. Birds don't have salivary glands so extra spicy foods don't burn their mouths.

Also you will notice I didn't answer your question in text slang. It would be great if I didn't have to decipher your text slang. It might be great on a cell phone but it doesn't fill the bill here. In about a week I am no longer going to answer questions that are asked in text slang. I spend a lot of time on here answering questions. I don't think that is a lot to ask. It is like coming on here and speaking

French. A few might understand it but most wouldn't.

  4. Mine loved baby food.  I gave them organic brands that included peas, carrots, corn and squash.  They also loved their veggies in the raw.  Again, try to choose organic so you aren't passing along any ugly pesticides to your bird.  Celery, green beans, corn, zucchini, - just about anything.

hard boil an egg and let him have a quarter of it every few days.  A little macaroni pasta won't hurt either.

Don't feed your bird avacodo or mushrooms or chocolate.  Birds can't eat those !

  5. See the following for a list of foods you can feed your cockatiel. It looks delicious. http://www.genesisaviaries.com/nutrition...

  6. my tiels like to eat apples, corn, carrots, and the LOVE celery.

i just threw small chunks of the food in their cage, and they started to eat it.  they're not that picky so i didnt have any trouble.

i've tried giving them rice, but my tiels dont like it.

..its the one thing they dont like.. :(

  7. You can get brown rice in the grocery store, it's better for the birds.  They can eat lots of different veggies/fruits, apple, orange, blueberries, grapes, celery, chard, kale, potato, squash, peppers...etc.  Just make sure no avocado, no pits from the stone fruits (peaches, plums, nectarines.)  They also like lettuce but iceberg lettuce doesn't have much nutritional value, I'd opt for other greener lettuce.
