  2. Not sure about the fuel company specifically, but I know that Valero gas stations are from US oil.

    it goes to Asia.

    it has a high sulfur content, and is difficult to refine for use in the US with the current EPA rules.

    the same would happen with ANWR oil.

    it has nothing to do with becoming self sufficient.

    it has everything to do with oil company profits.
