  1. If you look at the majority of "Show" dogs, their call name isn't even part of their Registered Name.  What is her Kennel name?  If your dog was purchased from a reputable breeder, they will require her registered name to start with that name.

How about <Kennel>'s Dancin around the May Pole

    My Aussies are <Call Name>  <Registered Name>

Frankie - <Kennel> Come Fly with Me (For Frank Sinatra) and

Remy - <Kennel> Mighty Fine Moonshine (For Remy Martin Cognac).

  2. Macy La Ramere`

that soundslike a really good one to me

  3. Macy La Ramere...it's less pretentious than the first name....although pretention is the name of the game when it comes to naming show dogs!   :)

  4. What were her parents show names?

We like to sort of combine the parents names to create a new one - sort of a theme. For example, the father's name could be 'Something First in Line' and the son's name could be 'Something Right up Front'.

Even better, I love show names that match call names. For example, our Vinnie's show name is 'Southgate Hope's Starry Night'. Starry Night - Vincent Van Gogh :D

Or name it after something personal with the dog. For another example, Sirius's show name is 'Southgate's Part of the Plan'. He was from our first litter, and my mother insisted that keeping a boy out of the litter wasn't part of the plan. In the end, we kept him, and he really was part of the plan :)

Southgate is our kennel name - bear in mind that you'll have to put the breeder's kennel name in front of whatever you choose!

Besides, maybe it's just my personal opinion, but those names sound kind of...stuffy. You want something fun, yet creative.

  5. i like number 2!

  6. Strictly a personal preference, but I like the first name.  It is unique and I'm all for individuality.
