  1. 8ga is the correct size on an 50amp fuse...but you will be better with a 4ga on a 80a fuse.

  2. i would most likely go with 4 gauge, just in case if you ever upgrade your amp or whatever.  Im using 1/0 gauge in my tahoe with a 250 amp fuse on the positive terminal with two 70 max fuses in my amp,  which i know it a little excessive but with what im doing with it i need it.  4 gauge will be sufficient enough for what you are doing.

  3. I had a customer that had similar setup, he has an amp that runs only 600w rms but only with a 8ga wire.  he complant that it's not loud enough.  when we replace the power wire to 4ga, man it pounds real loud.  imagine what power wire can do to affect the system.

for grouding, just connect it to a good ground, make sure you scrap the paint off at the contact point.  don't need to run from the ground point to - of battery.  the car metal itself is like 30 of 4ga wire combined.

  4. go 4 guage,it alows u the option to run 2 amps or a bigger amp down the road.considering how it is with car audio u are always upgrading so 4 guage is a good choice, i would use a 80amp fuse, it is only necessary to run to a good ground it is not necessary and better not to run it back to the battery

  5. 8 Grage wire should be sufficient, but a 4 guage power wire is safer. The amp kit you buy should have a fuse included. I would not exceed 60-80 amps for your application, but each amp pulls different amperage from the system, so it could require more or less amperage. Check your owners manual.

Also, you only need to run the power to the battery. You should find bare metal in your car for the ground. No more than a foot or so away from the amp. If you do not have bare metal, just use a wire brush to scrape any paint off.

    Good luck@!

8gauge is recommended but i always go one size larger (4gauge) in case you may want to upgrade at a later date it will be more time/cost affective then buying new wire and removing the old wire

and i would go with an 80amp fuse

  7. if its above 600 rms id use 4 guage.

  8. 10 gauge

  9. You should be ok with 8 guage for positive and negative...50 amp fuse.
