This really depends upon what sort of games you like. Do you like multiplayer, single player, strategy games, action games, shooting games? Which do you have the most fun playing? Have you tried going to a game store and asking to test out the games? Many times you can talk to the people who work there and ask for suggestions. They are usually pretty helpful!

Renting out a game before purchasing is always an excellent idea. You will know if its worth plunking down $50 bucks for the game if you really like it by renting it from blockbuster or gamefly.com. Definitely Super Smash Bros. Brawl. It's a really great fighting game on the Wii and there are so many things to do such as unlock characters, stages, trophies, music, and stickers, and there are many game modes besides brawling such as target smash and the adventure mode, Subspace Emissary, for endless hours of fun. It's a really fun game when playing with friends and relatives and also, you can play this game online via wi-fi.

I would say Rock Band. Its about 50 dollars less then the Wii, but It's worth it. There is more variety, too. Like you can play guitar, sing, or drums.
