What game systom is best for a teen 360 wii or ps3

i have a 17 year old brother and i want him to have a good time on his birthday

IF you have a computer already then its a toss up between the 360 and PS3, both are good and have similar plus and minus's.

IF you do not already have a computer then I'd get the Wii because you can get on the internet also AND there are LOTS of free Wii flash games on the net to check out.

Deff get ps3 dont get 360. One reason, you gotta pay to play online.

most teens like hardcore games : ) and they like to do a whole bunch of stuff with it like watch movies download games and tv shows and buying downloadable content so.....

get wii, he won't just have fun with a good remote,nunchuk ect... but he will do some exercise, plus... it uses very few energy but Ps3 uses very much energy

360 best val with respect to console price and overall similarities with games, just b sure to get him the elite version. also if u don't have a 1080p tv there isn't too much point in getting a ps3 (unless u r planning on getting a full HD tv soon/near future) like others have said wii is good for younger and older audiences, or as a good family console but not a teen game. sweet eh?

I'd recommend an Xbox360 or a Wii. More than likely a 360 for a 17 year old without interest in Nintendo classics.

Wii has it's share of good games and good upcoming games, both "casual, fun" games and "core" games. The 360 has a lot more core games, and it's dominating the PS3 in pretty much every genre (more good shooters, RPGs, action/adventure games, etc.).

Don't buy the Wii simply based on the controller or price, look at the games. Contrary to what a lot of people say, there are good games for the Wii, (quite a few of them at that) along with several great looking announced exclusives.

If you are getting an Xbox360, I'd suggest waiting one more month since there are rumored price drops for early September with the release of the new "Japser" chipset (dropped manufacturing costs even more, and will supposedly help with the hardware problems). You'd probably also want to look into the 60GB version and not the version without a hard drive. You'd probably end up buying a hard drive for it anyway and the apparent savings would be gone.
