What gap would I need for a 1-3/4" thick door?

Currently for my bedroom I have a 1-3/8 thick hollow-construction door of standard dimensions (30" x 78"). I want to switch to a custom-made solid-construction door of 1-3/4" thickness. My question is: do I have to adjust the gap between the door and jamb or should there be no conflict?

  1. If you are getting a custom made door, have them make the jamb stock too. Their will be a conflict with the old jamb, you can remove the door stop and reinstall it when the new door is hung, but I would replave the jamb and door together. Just order the door as a "pre-hung"
