What gear do I need for Softball?

I am in 10th grade and I am going to play softball for the first time what gear do i need to buy?

a bat, a glove a hat and cleats pretty self explanatory if u watch a game

I have been playing softball for many years and from my experience you will need:

a glove- make sure it fits your hand and also make sure it was made for softball.

a bat- usually schools supply bats but if you want a personal one that fits to your needs and likings then i would get a bat.

batting gloves- these will help your hands by not making the vibrations from the bat hit your hands and also they make it more comfortable holding a bat.

sliding shorts- these help out a lot by making it more comfortable to slide.

a sliding pad (it goes over your knee)- this will prevent your knee from being cut open while sliding.

cleats- i would go for mettle cleat, but make sure you check the rules to see if you are allowed to wear mettle.

bag- this is to hold all your things so that they wont get lost. If you get a bat, i would buy a softball bag because they have a place for your bat.

Your school or team should supply everything else!!
