What gender do you think gets murdered more?

i know that sounds like a creepy question. but my mom is obsessed with shows like csi, law & order, etc...and MOST (im not saying all, but most) of the time its a girl that gets killed (usually by a guy) and then it makes me think of all the weird serial killers there are out there that kill women for 'sexual pleassure!' EW! but i know that guys get killed too. so what gender do you think gets killed more? jw

and also, why do you think people do kill other people for that sexual pleasure? idk.....weirddd...

Men are murdered more than women, even though women are killed by men and you're talking about serial killers for the most part men kill each other more than they kill women.  Men will kill each other in the heat of an argurement or in the commission  of a crime but for the most part For every woman that's killed by a man there are two or three men killed by various other men.

I'm not sure! Maybe women because men are typically more aggressive but there are a lot of female killers too, often using poisoning as a method of killing their male victims!

I'm pretty sure that it's men, by FAR.

TV entertainment is a really bad place to get facts from, as there are reasons writers prefer female victims.

Most gang murders are of males; and most ganster (mob) murders, as well. In general, most economically motivated murders are of males.

And it's most often than altercations that escalate into murder are between males.

More women than men die of domestic violence (or maybe equal numbers), and are more often the targets of the s*x-based murders you mention (these are REALLY rare -- on TV they happen several times a day, because they make gripping TV, NOT because they happen several times a day in real life).

But in most catgories, especially of those categories that have the most murders in them, it's men.

When you watch, remember, TV writers of those kinds of shows go for shock value, not accuracy. Those sickos are really really rare.

But, by far, more men are murdered than women.

drama is there to engage and entertain us - NOT tell us the truth.  I would say that you are exposed to too many homicide shows and really need to stop watching them.  You are getting a slanted view of reality.

Honestly i believe women get killed more often because they are easier targeted. and most killers get turned on by killing someone. and then they usually will rape the dead bodies......
