  1. Gender doesn't matter. Personality is better. But adopt an already neutered rabbit or two. Then you know what you are getting:

  2. I mean

you can get it sprayed, it will make it much nicer!!

I have a boy rabbit, perrry, it is very nice and easy to touch. I mean ,i 've never had a girl. Bt i think it all depends on the breed a little...

Girls sometimes can get alittle territorial.. But if you spray it not THAT much!

  3. the gender doesn't matter the breed does i suggest a minirex they are vary sweet and tame

  4. It doesn't matter the gender once they hit puberty they all have the potential of becoming territorial and 'mean'. But if you get the rabbit spayed/neutered then the chance of that happening is very slim and it makes a healthier rabbit.

  5. Many rabbit breeders recommend male rabbits as pets.  They're suppose to be calmer, more affectionate, and easier to handle.  I have a female rabbit that I have no problems with - and she isn't even spayed yet.  Still I guess it is safer to get a male.  If you're planning on spaying/neuturing your rabbit then it really doesn't matter.  Good luck with your bunny hunt!

  6. girl rabbits are fine as long as they don't have babies, then they get pretty territorial and mean, but not horrible they just will be a bit more aggressive.

    male rabbits pee EVERYWHERE!

as long as they're fixed either gender is fine but if not I'd pick a girl as long as there's no male partner

but be careful, we got 2 "boy" bunnies and one ended up being a girl, the girl was nice until the boy impregnated her and he began peeing all over the room (through the cage) once the girl had babies she was much more aggressive and would jump on my hand if i put it near the front of her body.

and as some extra info, rabbits of any gender will hump anything if they aren't fixed.  Females will hump other females (mine humped my cat...).  i guess its more of a territorial/power thing rather than for procreation.  Although i haven't had the issue of one humping my leg haha like a dog would.

  7. No one general is better or fits a specific personality. It very much depends all on the individual rabbit. However, my experiences are that in general, bucks (males) make better pets.

My bucks are the sweetest things in the world. They run to the front of the cage for attention and nearly fall out the door for treats and pets. They're always really happy and friendly and just excited to see you. I compare their behavior to a puppy. I breed rabbits, so I have quite a few of each gender, but if I only had one pet, I'd definitely choose a buck.

Does (females) can be nice pets too, but I find them to generally be more standoff-ish and not as affectionate. When they reach 6 months, does also tend to get territorial and cage aggressive, even if they were sweet as a kit. None of my does are really "mean" or anything, they're just not as lovey dovey as the bucks. You definitely have to do things their way and on their watch to keep them happy.

Again, attitudes and personalities vary. But on the whole, you will find that a lot of people prefer bucks over does as pets.
