What generally goes on during a singing lesson? I'm thinking about taking them!

You first learn vocal theory for example:

Proper breathing

Vocal structure

Standing position

Finding your vocal range

Then you start to learn basic sight reading techniques like how to find what key your singing in.

You'll learn how to sing in groups, ensembles, and how ot sing solo.

There is much more that can be enticed in your vocal class, you should ask before hand what is it exactly what your teacher is planning to teach/instruct you in so you'll have a basic idea of what you'll be learning. Just remember to have fun and sing from the heart and you'll pick up the techniques in no time.
