What genre would you classify this band as?

I know this quesiton has been asked before about Between The Buried and Me. I am just bored though lol. Anyway, this band sounds like they are playing Progressive Mathcore with a blend of Death Metal. That is just what I am hearing out of this song. What would you say?

i agree with you for the most part. i like them a lot. i think colors is just more of a progressive album than anything else they did. their old stuff was had more death metal influences in my opinion. hard to label them though

It's a tough call on their first album they sounded a bit deathcore, but after Silent Circus  Sambang pretty much nailed it with Progressive Metalcore, sounds right.

Haha if it weren't for you I probably wouldn't have gotten their first album which I always kept forgetting to pick up lol.

I say Death Metal. The lyrics and Vocals are heavy and Dark. But the instruments aren't as fast... I love Between the Buried and Me.

I would definitely agree with you, somewhere along the lines of progressive mathcore/ death metal....

On their myspace they describe themselves as Hardcore Progressive, which I can see too.....too many sub-genres....lol
