  1. Any number of things, It is recycled. By recycled I mean filtered and reprocessed into other various oil fuels.

    A specialty garage will collect the oil up and have it shipped to the recycling station/ plant to go through the storing, filtering, and processing phases.


  2. As was mentioned here, it can get reprocessed or can be used to heat buildings, using a specially-fitted oil burner.

  3. A lot of them use it in their furnaces to heat their buildings.

  4. They save it up and then its shipped to a plant where it gets recycled into new oil.

  5. It is collected and eventually used as industrial fuel oil.  A very small fraction is reprocessed back to motor oil.
