  1. If nail polish remover does not work, try Hot Shot carpet stain remover.  Walmart sells it and it is really great at getting difficult stains out.

You will have to blot and blot, but a bit of patience pays off.

If all else fails and If it just got on the tips of the carpet fibers, you may be able to trim the very ends with a sharp scissor.  Just be careful not to snip too deep or it will look odd.

    Edit:

Just to encourage you, like others here, I too have gotten nail polish out of carpet.  In our case it was dark blue polish on beige carpet.  I will have to take note of all the solutions posted here, cuz with 3 girls we may someday need this again.

  2. believe it or not.. terpentine! it is absolutely fantastic, but the room must be extremely well ventilated.. and you're going to have to blot the spot.. when it happened to me, terpentine got rid of it and didn't ruin my white carpet

  3. if it is still wet use carpet shampooer just on polish or try non acatone polish remover for false nails . the quicker the better

  4. http://www.rugrag.com/stain-removal/Fing...

    always worked for us.

  5. bleach it....and use nail polish remover and scurb

  6. If you have any excess carpet, a carpet installer could cut out the damaged area & seam in a new peice. There is also a product called Afta by gaurdsman that will remove the paint. Make sure you work the spot inwards so you don't make it larger.
