I superglued some drumsticks to my door and I am moving out so I want them off now. Is there any chemical that is really good for removing super glue (the kind that dried in ten seconds but isn't very expensive if that helps)?

  1. Counters, tables, floors, etc.

Use acetone to soften glue and then start working at the glue. Brush, scrape, shave, peel, sand or whatever mechanical means is available to work the glue off. Reapply acetone and continue to work at the

  2. acetone(nail polish remover).

  3. HEY!!! i'm not sure about this. try to pour a hot vinegar(heated)

  4. YOu can try out 'decorating spirit (99% alcohol)', that people sometimes use to get superglue and stuff off their fingers. You normally can get it in a DIY store.

Try out a small test area first, as spirit might take off some varnish if your door is varnished not just painted. You will probably have to saw off the sticks first, as this will make it easier. And the spirit will definately have to be rubbed in to get the superglue off (it won't just work by itself). Stuff like paint thinner, professional nail polish remover may also work to soften it up.

Alternatively you could always try sawing it off, then sanding it down and hand finishing the damaged area of the door (with varnish it its varnished, or painted if its painted, etc).
