Question:

What gets you more in Ramadan...the hunger or the tiredness?

Tiredness for me! Although I eat more than a normal person at any given time of the year, when Ramadan comes, the hunger does not get me at all. The lack of sleep is what really kills.

What's worse in Ramadan (for you personally) the hunger or the lack of sleep?

  1. I feel for you sister, I remember back in the day (when I was in college), it was the tiredness that got to me, from the lack of sleep; and I was feeling not just tired, but physically ill, sick. So I decided to eat suhoor before I went to bed, and pray Fajar Qazza in the morning, this was the only option, as my Health comes first.

May Allah reward you for your sacrifices.

  2. The Hungerr fer sho my stomache starts growling lol n when i wanna sleep or do anything i can't cause i have no energy

  3. it is thirst, too hot here,,

  4. the thirst and the need of a cigarette

  5. only the thirst

because normally i dnt have breakfast and i have lunch at almost 5 pm,and now iftar is at 6 pm..alhamdulelah not hard...

but the weather is very hot,my throat gets dry very quickly

  6. Actually, for me it's the dehydration.  I get dehydrated very easily; within about 4 hours of not drinking anything, if I'm outside, or 6 or 7 hours inside, my lips start to chap, it's that bad.  My eyesight gets worse and my head aches...but, it's only for one month.  If I drink a lot of water at night it's not as bad, but that usually bothers my stomach...lol.

  7. Both to be honest. I sleep at 3, wake up early and because after breaking my fast i don't feel too hungry i end up not eating too much and then it gets me hungry during the day. 38 minutes left can't wait :-|

  8. yeah. its more tiredness because I have school too Academic/uni subjects which include hard subjects like chemistry, biolgy, physics and what not.

and the fact that i have to pull an all nighter sometime or stay up really late to finnish my assignments.

this years double the pressure for me!!

Thankfully, i dont feel hunger at all!!

just 3 1/2 hours to go.. lol im just counting..

  9. I don't get tired or hungry as i'm not muslim. cannot understand why you fast for an imaginary god when you get nothing in return.

But hope all the suffering ends soon..

  10. I never feel tired during Ramadan! I feel more energetic because I know I am pleasing Allah !i

  11. Tiredness for me.

I dont get much sleep during Ramadan.

  12. Well I wud Say None ! I dont feel Hungry and I do not Get Tired !

  13. Thirst..

  14. the hunger lol...it gives me headaches.

Why are people getting thumbs down??? TROLLS!

  15. neither. I'm Muslim but don't do Ramadan

  16. For me it is neither of these..i can go all day with no food  ...but it is the thirst that gets to me..today it was not as hot (95 F)...I get up early and eat and i try to drink alot to keep me hydrated thru the day..doesn't work though...by 10:00 am i am extremely thirsty from the heat...but i suck it up  and  do my job...look forward to quenching my thirst

  17. Well, its kinda the point. Hungry, thirsty, abstension to learn self control and gratitude for our provisions.

If we're getting distracted with the little difficulties, seems refocusing on the goal is in order.

Allah dislikes to put us to difficulty, but fortitude only comes by exercising patience. Gotta keep trying, only.

  18. Alhamduillah what can I say - i struggle with the thirst , but it is the most blessed time of the month, when every action is thought about, when you put your mind to reflecting on yourself food and drink and tiredness become not noticed anymore, its sadly like the time in cramming for an exam when you find that extra strength - may we take this strength forward and be warriors for Islam and not just Ramadan warriers

  19. Yeah..i feel more i'll and now im getting a stuffed nose...ohh wait...*achoooo*

    ohhhoo

  20. the tiredness and hunger..both!

  21. Hunger.  I don't feel tired during Ramadan, at least not so far.

For me, it's the restraining myself that is hardest.  I'm not really hungry, but maybe I feel like eating something (like a craving), then I can't get up and go have some.

    I also really miss coffee!
