What gift can I give to my boyfriend's mother?

Question

For the first time, I am going to visit my boyfriend's parents house in another province. We are going to spend one week there at the end of the month. Should I bring something to his mother? If so, what can I bring?

Note1: her birthday was a few days ago.

Note2: It's the second time I meet the parents.

I think you can choose a oil painting as an birthday gift to get your boyfriend's mother, it's very special and it also can remind them of you.The price is not very high.I have ever bought some in a company whose service is good.

What kind of stuff is she into? Gardening stuff, making scarpbooks, or is she into sportsor like a certain band, if u get her tickets to something she loves she will love u back. Or make her a nice cakefor her b-day

house plants,scarf for her tie for him,a bottle of wine,handkerchief for both of them,plaque for house,nice pictuer in frame,yard ornarments.,or last resort fresh cut flowers..I hope everything works out for you good luck..

If you are over 21, a nice bottle of wine is a good gift for a dinner.  Otherwise, just bring a birthday card.

a houseplant or some flowers would be nice. it depends what she likes. do you know anything about her? why dont you ask your boyfriend? I think it's a nice idea to bring her something as a small gift. nothing expensive since you dont know her very well. if you dont know what she likes then something generic but thoughtful like flowers or plants is good. you could also bring some food since you are going to be eating her food for a week. bring some wine if she drinks wine or offer to take everyone out for dinner. help her with the dishes while you're there.

you may ask your bf little clues about her mother's tastes, what she's fond of, her hobbies, etc... this we'll greatly help you in deciding what to give her

bring a beautiful plant or flower in a nice pot, or some baked goods(pastry's) from a specialty bakery, mother in laws like one or the other, and if she hates flowers and baked goods she will love that you even thought about her! good good luck :)

I've noticed that you can never go wrong with things like lotions, bath oils, candles, stuff like that.. just buy one of those gift sets at wal mart or something.. If the mother doesn't like you, the present will put a bigger smile on your her face.
