guess it depends on her/his personality. is he/she sporty? or manly/girly? is he/she interested in something like novels, pets or plants? is he/she allergic to something? what is the current  fashion/tradition? what does he/she need?

i got my female coach chocolate of the month

and man coach beer of the month.

they loved it.

In 2006, I got her a white candle shaped like a Christmas Tree and a bag of Starbucks Winter Coffee.

Last year I gave her a box of Godiva chocolates!
