Hi,

Here is a link to a site that has cool anniversary gifts & most of them the company will personalize with a message.  For the 20th anniversary, engraved glasses or an embroidered afghan (with the couples names & wedding date) might be nice.

This is the year they typically receive china.  

So, if you know other friends of the couple you could team up and buy a gorgeous china set.

However, a china serving set is another affordable option if it's just you.  A nice serving tray would be nice.  

However, if the couple totally isn't into china then be creative.  You can get some really nice higher end kitchen gadgets (espresso machine?? fancy knives??)

Or perhaps a nice painting?

Personally, I would stick with the theme of china.  I can promise you that most people would be doing something related to china, so your gift will complement the others.

I would say it depends on how close you are to the couple.

If it's your parents, or a sibling, for example, a personal gift would be appropriate.  Put together a photo album with pictures from their wedding and through the years.  Or buy a frame with multiple openings and put various pictures in each spot.

If you are looking for something not so personal, maybe give a gift card to a favorite restaurant, or put together a theme basket, like "movie night" for example.

You could get them a personalised gift like a watch with the year they both met or a picture of their wedding.. You could also get them a personalised gift such as a photo montage with photos of their life blended together..
