What gift to me if I tied rakhee to my friend?

Raksha Bandhan. I just memorised my boys hostel life. My room partner was alone to his parents. So he ever get upset on this festival. Once I just planned to tie him rakhi, but I didn't do it. Now today I think if I would have tied him rakhi on that day, then he would have considered me as his sister. Then what would he had gifted me on that day.
