My dad gave me a beautiful pearl necklace and earrings to wear!  Pearls last forever (as they are natural), and in the card (which made me bawl) he said he bought pearls because they last forever, and that's how long I'll be his little girl!

A sappy card is always wonderful, and dont forget to tell her (and mean it) that she looks beautiful!!  I'm sure she will!

Thats something you have to really come up with on your own.  Shes your daughter; think about what is meaningful to her.  There is no real right answer to your question because everyone is different. (unless your the type of person who can afford to buy the happy couple a house, everybody wants a house).  but really the father of the brides gift has to come from the heart or else it doesn't mean anything at all.  Think of something that maybe she has wanted for a while, or a family heirloom, No matter what you give her she'll love it because (and this is going to sound cheesy) its not the gift but the thought that counts.

I dont know if it would be special, but you can give her a gift card for the place she registered at, so if she regitered for stuff that she didnt get, she can go there and buy it.

or ask her what they need or want, thats something they are likely to value forever as it actualy was of help to them...already discussed the idea with bf of wishing to get some high tech gear extention to our computer when the day come because we both could use it for hobby and work...but geting quality is costy.

photoes always fun memories, other then that i'd go for something they really need or want...starting out a new life can be though and some help on the way by geting something you then dont have to buy can be much apriciated

maybe a really nice framd pic of the two when she was a little girl. Or a nice piece of jewelry that she can wear on her special day, like diamond stud earrings? Or if they have a personal joke or something they both really enjoy together such as a sports team or something like that...
