Question:

What girth size for a 16.3h 1200 lb TB?

I bought a Wintec 500 AP saddle without the girth and I was wonder what size girth I would need.I have not received my saddle yet so I cant measure it.If you had to guess what would you say?

Its for my 16.3 hand 1200lb TB.

  1. It depends on how he's built. My girl is 16.3, but is very lanky, so a 50" works perfectly fine. If he's stocky, get a 52 or 54".


  2. hahaha, sry.... i had a 16.2 appendix about that weight... his girth was 54 girth. . . so sry to say this but a 50 might fit, with a girth extendor... but if you really dont want to believe me i'll take pics of the thing. lol. mah horse was a big boy.

  5. It really depends on how wide they are. My TB is a 48/50 but my friends who is the same height and weight is a 56!

    If you get one at a tack shop, you can always try one out and return or exchange it if it doesn't fit!
