  1. i think it is

imagination- becuz u want to be able to entertain and tell a story

emotion-becuz u want it to be able to move a person a a deep leave

vocabulary-becuz just a change of words can make a huge difference example the colors are pretty can be changed to the colors are vibrant[sp?]bad example but its all i could think of off the top of my head]

and inspiration-cuz it is easier to write when ur inspired

rythm-for ryme[although not all poems ryme]

    any1 can make a poem

but to make a good 1 u would need to have most of these skills but that is just my opinion

    hope that i have helped:)

    comment my poems plz:)

  2. nothing special...just writing down what you feel, think, see, and rewriting it and looking at it from more sides than one...

  3. An inspired mind.

  4. An idea, mostly uncensored and allowed to become itself with as little interference from "you" as possible.

  5. You are standing in a boathouse and asking a group of anchors what gives one the ability to float...ask your questions to poets.

  6. emotion, a mind of your own, inspiration.

nothing's really special because everyone is a poet at some point in their lives.  sometimes not even realizing it!

  7. There is only one poet. This poet is constantly writing. This poet is the same as nature. It writes trees, grass, planets, animals, solar systems, galaxies, human beings. When any sing human being writes words down on paper, it is the one poet writing through this human being. You can't go wrong. Express and it will be poetry. It is all special. Appreciation is that same poet reading and witnessing the beauty, etc. Some poetry is hard to read for how it captures so much despair. Is it still beautiful? I find in my own writing that I like best those pieces that are least interfered with at the time of writing by my own imposed sense of what may or may not be "good." Good luck to you. I leave you with a poem:
