What gives the color to the water in tropics?

that beautiful bright blue color? yeah it's clean but how does the water look like that?

the algae and plankton in the water gives off different colors, different animals different places different colors

I believe it has something to do with how warm the temperature of the water is as well as the degree of shallowness.

Sure is pretty shades of blues!
