What gloves do i get for boxing?

I've decided to take boxing classes with my friend. What gloves do i need? I don't plan on actually doing boxing fights, just training. Im very light. aroud like 115-120 pounds. im about 5 feet 5 inches. i dont really care about the price.

funny how someone said 12oz. buy16 oz, for amateur fights i think youll be using 12oz for your weight class if you ever get balls to fight.

Don't get any vinyl boxing gloves because they will not last once you used them and sweat is in them.

I would get the 12 ounce training gloves from either Grant or KO.

It depends what you are going to do..

LEather vs Synthetic..

Synthetic is always cheaper but leather lasts longer.

You will probably hit the heavy bags so you will need 12 oz bag gloves, for that and the mitts.. Size is probably medium.. or small..

If you are going to spar, you will need training gloves(only for sparring) 14 oz..

When you spar you will also need headgear.. Best if you get USA approved so you can use that also when you fight(if you are going to fight)

for competition, buy USA approved with white knuckles competition gloves.. You need to buy 10 oz for your weight..

When you use gloves you ALWAYS!! need handwraps... Get 150" to 200" for each hand..

For Brands: There is really good products for a reasonable price from ringside.com

but ..

I use and love products from GRANT grantboxing.com

GRANT products are kinda expensive but they have some great prices...

Cleto Reyes is good but expensive..

Winning winning-usa.com is really expensive but is great..

everlast products are only good if everything that you buy is over 60 bucks..
