What gloves to sparr with?

16 ounces. I have 18 and it gives you plenty of padding for sparring. If you want to develop your hand speed and power then use 12 ounce.

14oz gloves are good to sparr with although you should get 16oz instead but 14 is ok. as for the mouthpiece you can get one custom made by your dentist it cost about $40-$50 or you can get the Shock Doctor gel mouth piece from Titleboxing.com or Modelle's they only cost $10. dont get double guard mouth peices because it leaves to much sapce between your upper and low jaw and it can cause you a broken jaw.
