  1. the g*y Straight Alliance gsa? yeah....well when i was in it back when i was in high school, we talked about g*y rights ect, read lgbt books for kids lol Chris(the pres) had the craziest ideas lol, we talked about fashion, music, movies, ect. we just hung out at lunch and chilled, got to know each other, ect. its really fun.you should join.

  2. I would have answered your question, until I saw your mean-spirited follow up to Poobah.

The fact is, there ARE several organizations whose names can be deduced by the acronym "GSA".  So feel free to be a little more clarifying when you ask questions, dear -- or at least learn to appreciate humor when you see it, because his answer was quite witty.

  3. You meet GLBT kids in your school & talk about equal rights and make rainbow stuff like bracelets and pins :P

    It's fun.

Sometimes there's music, and they tell you good books to read, And maybe you'll find some hot guys ;)

  4. I have no idea bout high school meetings. At my Uni usually we go over a plan as far as events we want to do that year, fundraisers, Things that we want to accomplish and off campus, volunteer work and other things. We work toward those goals and we also occasionally have socials like to watch movies n stuff. good fun!

    good luck

  5. You are going to join the Girl Scouts of America? I don't think they allow males to join (although they should).

  6. They have a Government Services Administration unit at your school? What will they think of next.  Bring some coffee, a note pad, something to write with and TRY to stay awake.  Those are very boring meetings with one person thinking they know everything and loves to lord their bureaucratic nonsense over everyone else.

  7. Well..I'm not in an actual GSA, but I'm in a college student organization similar to it.  We're called "Bobcat Equality Alliance".

We do a lot of political stuff surrounding the fight for equality between straight people and glbt people on campus. We've done demonstrations, awareness panels, ect.  On national coming out day we did a "Guess Who's g*y" panel where we had people on a forum who didn't fit your stereotypical g*y persona, and straight people who DID seem g*y but weren't and people were asked to ask the panel members questions and try to figure out if they were g*y or straight.

We do ally workshops every year and train people to become glbt allies.  We've went to pride.  We helped organize groups of people to petition our school's administration to include gender identity in our campus anti-discrimination policy (it's still being worked on..not finalized yet).

Just last night actually..we had a "welcome to the family" social where we reached out to new freshman and incoming transfer students, to show them the resources available on campus to them.

I don't know how it works in high school, but this has been my experience with such a kind of group.
