It breaks my heart to read the news, in particular this.

What have we come to and how do we make it better together as a race?

We will never rid the world of cruelty.  Especially considering how trivial and ineffective our response as a society is to the acts of such abominable people.

In the case of this precious little child, her parents received a mere slap on the wrist.  The 12 year sentence for the mother and only 5 for the father is obscene in both cases.  What message does that send?  I hope they suffer horrific misery in prison and die before they're released.

I have argued about spanking for years and how it is wrong.

But this is a good demonstration as to what I mean when I say that some mothers have no love.

Frankly speaking, we tend to focus more on showing off, and don't focus enough on developing our nation or fixing problems like these.. Instead of looking at who's better amongst us, we should think about changing the ways some things are..
