What goes on in the slipknot mosh pits?

Question

hay, I'm 13 and pretty short, just wanna know what to expect in the pit, i know the unwritten rules, (pick up people on the floor, don't be a sitting duck, small rests in the center ext.) but has anything bad happened to other maggots the pit?? what should i expect

ps. don't comment saying slipknot suck, that just makes you look like an *** x

be prepared to get shoved really hard into other people who will shove you back into them and so on and some guys might throw punches at you as well so keep your hands or be prepared to get a black a eye either way.  if i were you though i wouldnt go for it.

A few black and blues, broken noses, arms, wrists, legs... sprained joints, bleeding faces, ripped clothes & piercings... get the point?

And when ur down, try n get up quickly otherwise, you'll get squished--some people do care but most of the time these people don't care; most of them think "you're in the moshpit, if you can't handle it, get out of it."

I saw Slipknot in an airport hanger with 5000 maggots.  It was controlled chaos at it finest.

Keep your head up and be mindful of your surroundings

Don't take it personally iy you get bumped just bump back.

Well. It really depends. If you're at one of their larger shows (Ozzfest, Summer Slaughter, Mayhem Tour) and you're a beginner, you'll get killed.

People have been known to sneak weapons into ozzfest on countless occasions (Baseball bats and clubs are the norm). But if it's a smaller show, it'll be a lot of shoving, body slams, shoulders into your chest, and most likely punches.

It's very dangerous, I wouldn't recommend it. Most people you will find in a moshpit are large guys who jump around and throw themselves into other people. People push each other too, basically anything is fair game if you're in a moshpit. I have been in a few, one time I was at an AFI concert and I got knocked around quite a bit at that one. Now, I've never been to a Slipknot concert, but if it was pretty bad AFI, you can imagine how bad it's gonna be at Slipknot. Seriously, it's dangerous, and you WILL go home with several bruises. If I was you, I would not go into the moshpit. You can still kind of jump around / dance / headbang / whatever even if you're not in it. If you absolutely insist on going in the moshpit, try to go with your friends, preferably some larger guy friends who can help you out if anything happens. That's what I usually do.

Depends on the people - I'm sure someone would pull you up if you fell down, but honestly, I wouldn't just lay on the ground and wait for someone to pick you up, lol. You want to try NOT to fall down at all.
