What goes up must come down - The Shoania debacle
“There is something about Pakistani men” observes the Times of India in one of its articles. Gravity cannot be held responsible for Indian women falling in love with Pakistani men. Indian women find them too hot to resist. The latest Indian to find it hard to resist the charm of the handsome hunks from http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Pakistan-c755 is none other than the Indian tennis sensation Sania Mirza.
After the union of Brad Pitt with Angelina Jolie - the ultimate couple in history had been formed. But sensational television in Pakistan and India proved everyone wrong. One would never have imagined in the wildest of dreams that any couple might even dare to challenge the supremacy of the Brangelina couple, when out of nowhere the Shoania phenomenon came to the fore like a thunderstorm. Yes, a couple from Asia dared to challenge the crown of the Brangelina couple and it was none other than the Pakistani heart throb Shoaib Malik and India’s sensational tennis star Sania Mirza – hence Shoania.
It is said to have been love at first sight. Nature had conspired to bring these two together, who have without an iota of doubt surpassed the mightiness of Pitt and Jolie. Yes, Shoania is now the ultimate couple, but for all the wrong reasons. Malik the Hercules from http://www.senore.com/Cricket/India-c750 a few years ago, named Ayesha. But the poor simpleton was tricked into believing that Ayesha was some other woman. Awed by her beauty, he promised to spend the rest of his remaining life being a loyal husband to Ayesha, when (glass shattering) it turned out that he had been tricked into marrying a horizontally challenged aunty. Shoaib was shattered. But he vowed not to let love affect his cricketing form and continued to play good cricket for Pakistan.
The Mumbai-born Sania Mirza on the other hand hails from http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Wasim-Akram-c96292. One thing is however certain - all these Indian women find Pakistani cricketers oh so charming.
However Sania and Shoaib have surpassed Brangelina for all the wrong reasons as said earlier and they will be well elucidated to further reinforce the line of argument. Sania Mirza was the most successful Indian female tennis player. Shoaib Malik was the best ranked all-rounder in 2008 and was chohttp://www.senore.com/Cricket/Woods-c98113 and Roger Federer. Ever since Shoaib and Sania tied the knot, something went awfully wrong. Their careers have spiralled and heading onto a path of oblivion.
Shoaib’s test rankings, according to a recent report, have slipped down to 51, while Sania Mirza has slipped 84 places from 27 to be ranked at the 111th spot. The Shoania couple seems to be deeply in love with each other, and this love is certainly heading on a road to disaster for both of these sports players. Their careers have spiralled following their marriage, and till now, their careers suggest that this marriage has been successful to get their names in the worst performing sports players of the season.
An Indian psychologist Seema Hingorani offers an explanation to the irresistible charm of Pakistani men. “p**i men have an appealing personality. They are earthy, men of the soil and look it as well. With their rugged good looks, international style and sky high fame they are way too attractive to any Indian woman.”
