I'm trying to chose my wedding theme color and me & fiance opted for green (kinda like sage green/olive green)... it was lovely and all... then I realized what flowers would go with it... for my bouquet & bridesmaids... Any suggestions?

And also it's gonna be a June wedding, does green look good in the summertime?

  1. White or Off white!

    maybe a very pale pink?

  2. Cream or a light creamy beige looks very nice with sage & olive.  You can also use pink & cream in the flowers.   Light purples also look good with greens.    Sage & lavender for example.  Whether you do sage & lavender, or sage & pink, make sure you include a cream or off white color to break it up.  And yes, green looks good in summertime.

  3. I used almost the same shade for the bridesmaids dresses and then for flowers and everything else I used shades of purple, from light to dark and everything in between. It turned out gorgeous!  The good thing about working with a shade of green that color is all you have to do is look at nature - it's the color that is used with every flower!

    Good Luck and Have fun!

  4. White and pink, or cream and pink .... but are you sure about that olive color? Looks a little sad.... maybe a little lighter green would be more cheerful and Sping-like :-)

  5. I think it would be fine for a June wedding. It might be a little "spring-like" but I say do what you like...and i had a black, white and red wedding on Memorial day weekend.

I think a pink flower would be really pretty with the green that you have chosen. I am not sure what kind of flower tho....I am partial to roses.

    Good Luck and Congratulations!

  6. White flowers would look great.  Yellow as an alternative if you don't like white.  Or white for your maids and yellow for you, since I assume you'll be wearing white?  There are also roses that are almost green - white with a greenish tinge- that are popular now, but I think just plain white would look fresh & beautiful for the flowers.

  7. white

    ivory

    pale pink

    canary yellow

    chocolate brown

  8. The best thing you can do is speak with a florist, and the first thing a florist is going to ask you is what other colors are you considering using with the shade of green that you choose. For example, if your color scheme is merely olive and white, you may choose to just do flowers with only white blooms, such as stephanotis or gardenias. However, if you decided to accent a sage green with lavender, then you would probably want to have lavender colored flowers, such as hydrangea or lilac. So my recommendation to you is to determine what your accent wedding colors are and also what your budget is, so that a professional florist can help you select flowers that will fit in with your entire color scheme and wedding budget. By the way, green is a GREAT summertime color!

  9. I love green and hot pink..or a deep red.  Purple is beautiful wtih it too..

  10. Try lillies (in white) or hydrangeas in a lighter shade of green.

  11. Yellow

    Light Pink

    White

    Ivory (Beige)

    Lavender

    Orange

  12. I would suggest a lavender color as the softness will give the wedding a certain feel vs. a pastel and a neon.

  13. These two shades are perfect for any time of year.

Winter white (not quite white, and not quite ivory) would be gorgeous ... also pale pink .... you could also incorporate two shades of lavender.

  14. light yellow would go really well with those 2 shades of green

    best wishes
