  1. Use whatever ball you want to use.  There really isn't a ball based on your handicap.  As an example, I am a 14 handicap and I play the Nike One Black ball.  It is supposed to be a better player's ball.  I'm not going to get the kind of distance Tiger gets on his tee shots.  His swing speed is 30mph faster than mine and he can compress the ball more.  Where I will get similar results is around the green, which is where I really want to get results.  I can get the ball to stop around the hole and save par more often.  I recommend a top of the line ball.

  2. Flyrites.. They are hard to find these days. They were near the Spalding George Knudson's.  $1.33 for a sleeve.

  3. I have about the same swing speed, the ball that works great with me are the top-flite xl straights,7.99 for 15 is ubeatable,if i worked a few more hours that week dt-solo is my other choice.

  4. Top Flite d2 is a great ball for that swing speed, and has pretty good spin around the greens. So I'd go with that, its $15-20 a dozen.

  5. There will be number of balls that would be a good fit for you. To pick the best ball for you though you really need to know a little more. Like, whats your spin rate?? Your swing and your clubs will tell you if you need a high or low spin ball.

I will say that the proper ball can easily make a difference of 10 yards or more. I have seen even more than this with proper club fitting as well.

All this being said, if you don't want to go through a proper fitting with a KNOWLEDGEABLE club fitter, go find a ball that feels good to YOU, and go have fun.
