it is todays supposed 7 iron . years ago it would have been a weak 5 iron , numbers dont matter , the only way with todays irons is to classify by the distance you hit them . i am a old guy carry five wedges . wierd but works

My 7 iron is 37 degrees, but with lots of new sets that could be an 8-9 iron. Most companies decrease the loft and keep the same loft to make the customer satisfied. "Ego" factor.

Could be an 8 iron.. but that would be one strong 8 iron.

Possibly a strong 7 iron as 7 irons are usualy 37degrees

You could "bend" either of the clubs to 35 degree .
