  1. You can get both at many places! On tgw.com, you can get a set of Nickent hybrids/ irons or irons for $300 and their square drivers for $100 each. You could also go for Adams irons for $200 and their new driver for$170-$200 or the older one for $100 and have some left over. If brand doesn't matter, then go to pinemeadowgolf.com or mggolf.com, where it's all low prices with modern technology. I've already tried MG Golf and Pinemeadow Golf, and they're great!

  2. Check out some of the Mizuno MX series irons.  They are forgiving and have the weighting of a forged club.  Go used because they tend to be in the 7 to 800 dollar range new.  Still can find em though.  THe taylor driver is nice, last years burner TP is an amazing club.

  3. I personally believe the best driver and probably the least expensive  is the Taylor Made R580 XD. It may be a year or two old in models but it is the most forgiving driver on the market for only $130-$150. It is amazing. And for irons its all about the feel. One person may hate them while another absolutely loves them. Good Luck!

  4. Look at some of the lower class irons. Brands like Adams, Mizuno, Wilson, Maxfli, etc. may not sound as intriguing as Nike or Taylormade, but they can still be great clubs for half the price.

  5. Do you ask all of your buddys when to change your underwear?  Decisions like you are asking by committee are doomed to failure about 95% of the time.   This is a question that you alone must decide what the answer is.

  6. I think the best deal is used irons for your money.  Then go to a club refinisher to have the loft and lie adjusted.  Check the web or call around.  Lots of golf shops have used clubs from trade ins.  Then use the money you save for that Taylor Made driver.  I agree it is a great performer.
